Cancer Doesn't Have to Keep You From Creating a Family

Last updated 5 years ago

The American Society of Clinical Oncology provides guidelines for oncologists in which they are required to discuss fertility preservation with their cancer patients. Unfortunately, studies show that less than 25% of doctors actually discuss the chances of getting pregnant with their patients.

In this video, we explore the lives of two breast cancer survivors who are attempting to conceive. Neither one of these patients was provided with the valuable information they needed regarding their pregnancy options following radiation or chemotherapy. Check out this video clip to learn more about the success rates for pregnancy utilizing embryo freezing and cryopreservation.

Don’t let a cancer diagnosis interfere with your ability to start a family. For more information on our IVF treatments and assisted reproductive technologies, contact Fertility Centers of Illinois at (877) 499-8730.
